Back Pain Treatment in Los Angeles, CA
Hi, I’m Dr. Jason Kelberman and I’ve been treating people with back pain for 40 years. Let’s take a minute and lay out why I’m so successful at helping people get out of pain and return to their normal lifestyles.
Back pain can be a local issues or be created by a dysfunctional foot or other issue. Our walking motion is called the gait mechanism. When your feet hit the ground, they tell your brain to turn on 27 muscles in exact sequence? If that gait mechanism does not work, it will affect your knees, hips and pelvis?
How is Back Pain Treated?
The simple answer is that I look deeper and more completely than most practitioners and get to the root cause of the problem. Treating all of the issues that create your back pain, not just the most obvious ones. Top to bottom and inside and out.
First we do a thorough examination with orthopedic, neurologic, range of motion and kinesiological testing to find out what muscles are weak which are too tight and how many different pieces are causing your back pain. We look specifically at your spine and, if available, we look at x-rays or MRIs for more specific details. Trauma and age plays a role here as well. The old adage of whatever you don’t use you lose also applies to our whole body but also to the spine and musculature.
Strengthening Your Stride
You don’t have to have foot pain to have weak and dysfunctional feet. 80% of the population is walking around with at least one weak foot. If we determine your feet fit that criteria, our center is uniquely equipped to retore the function and strength. I patented a significant breakthrough in foot rehabilitation that we call “Foot Power”. We are the only office in LA that offers this unique service.
Alternative Relief
Spinal Decompression
If you have degenerating discs, herniations, stenosis, sciatica, pain, numbness or tingling down your legs, you will want to learn about and begin treatment with Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression. I call decompression the new digital traction. Why? Because digital sensors in the decompression tables can actually know if your muscles are resisting the treatment. That way you achieve true decompression in the spinal discs. That means is a significant vacuum affect has been achieved and the compressed disc spaces and spinal joints are opened, thus pulling the bulging, protruding disc back into a more normal position, taking the load off the spinal joints or nerves. It’s a game changer.
Anti-Inflammatory Therapies
The latest technological breakthrough is called “cell signaling”. This is an electrotherapy that can be used to reduce pain, swelling, numbness, muscle spasms and, in a sense, reprogram the area treated. Also extremely helpful for modality for nerve damage cases.
Another very effective therapy is High Intensity Class IV Laser therapy. Gentle yet it can penetrate all the way to your bones without any discomfort. Laser therapy creates a chemical affect in your cells thus stimulating cellular metabolism, enhancing oxygenation and analgesic affects. If your case is complicated we often use both for quicker pain relief.
Another reason why I get better results is that I actually see you and treat you until you hit a stable point where you just need therapy. In other words, this is not just a cookie cutter one-size-fits-all. I treat you and watch your progress to ensure that you get it and add or change whatever is necessary as we go.
You will receive (and be expected to perform) very specific exercises at home or in a gym.
Other reasons why people heal slowly are as follows:
- Not enough protein in your diet. Muscles are made from protein.
- Way too much sugar, alcohol and toxic foods which leave you dehydrated and depleted.
- Overwhelming and exhausting stress.
- Can’t sleep.
- Diabetes.
- Fatty liver.
- Constipation or diarrhea.
- Dental diseases (Yes, it can affect your whole body!)
Get the idea? Let’s get to the root cause of your back pain.
If your body doesn’t take care of inflammation on its own it will have no energy to heal. Let’s make an analogy to your phone. Do you expect it to work if you don’t recharge it! Then why do you expect that of your body?
Our 90 day transformation program can return you to a pain-free lifestyle. When we examine you please try to give us as much history as you can remember that may help us HELP YOU.
